Are you looking for a new activity to do with your child or grandchild? Need bonding time with your kids? The weather dampen things to do? Hokulani Glass Studio provides a one of a kind experience, which gives kids and adults, the chance to design and create their own custom glass projects!

Type of Class: Demonstration and hands-on project

Class Description: Great for anyone! This class is an introduction to basic glass blowing bulbs without difficulty, or having to work with a dangerous glass furnace. GLASKOLBEN cylinders are pre-blown clear glass cylinders with blow pipe ends, used for blowing glass balls for ornaments or a plant watering globe. Glaskolben cylinders are used throughout Europe for making Christmas tree ornaments. “Glaskolben” is a German word that translates to “glass bulb.” Your class also includes an array of refreshments, and clients can also bring libation of choice, wine, appetizers, or sack lunch, to make it a fun time while creating their project. After class, photos can be taken on the lanai of our home, which was the former vacation home for actor Tom Selleck in beautiful Kona Hills Estates, a gated community.

Safety: Closed toe shoes are required with this class. You will also need to bring a good pair of sunglasses, since you will be looking into a gas flame when creating your project.

Tools & Materials Included: All supplies for the project. Different color frits, (2) Glaskolben’s per person, ornament caps, and the use of our torches & other equipment.

Cost: Inclusive $75 plus materials fee of $25. Total per person $100 + 4% HI Sales Tax

Registration: Please go to our website at www.hokulaniglass.com, class registration page. Fill out the form, and scroll to the bottom to the pay pal button, which you can pay on their secure site. The remaining balance can be paid in full in advance, or at the studio. If cash is paid, we will waive the 4% tax.

Cancellation Policy: Due to limited size of the class and demand (we are the only glass studio teaching workshops on the Big Island), here is the cancellation policy. More than two weeks before class – A non-refundable $25 handling fee for supplies ordered, as well as, the opportunity to have booked that day for other students will apply.
