Class Description: Great for beginners of all ages! This 1.5 hour class is an introduction to basic glass casting. Select from an array of frit (crushed glass), and learn how to create intricate designs, with frit, inclusions, and Italian glass. It will then be put into a kiln for a 14 hour firing. Your instructor will then clean them, and put on the necessary findings for you (only grade A adhesives are used, that will not tarnish the findings, as well as, never ever come off!

You can pick up in 24-hours, or it can be mailed to you at a minimal cost. Create two large pieces or 4 medium from casting molds. A gorgeous gift to take home for yourself or for someone else. We also includes an array of refreshments, and clients can also bring libation of choice, wine, appetizers, or sack lunch, to make it a fun time while creating their project. After class, photos can be taken on the lanai of our home, which was the former vacation home for actor Tom Selleck in beautiful Kona Hills Estates, a gated community.

Safety: Closed toe shoes are preferred when working with glass.

Tools & Materials Included: All supplies for the project, and use of all equipment.

Cost: Inclusive $90 plus materials fee of $20. Total per person $110 + 4% HI Sales Tax (the kiln is very costly to run, due to the time that each piece has to be fired, and electricity here is the highest in the U.S., so a slightly higher fee has to be charged for this class).

Cancellation Policy: Due to limited size of the class and demand (we are the only glass studio teaching workshops on the Big Island), here is the cancellation policy. More than two weeks before class – A non-refundable $25 handling fee for supplies ordered, as well as, the opportunity to have booked that day for other students will apply.
